Huge congrats to our Athlete of the Month for February Danae! Danae has recently started CrossFit and has a competitive background in swimming. She has applied herself to learning a new sport and has shown amazing progress in the short time she has been with us. Danae has been completing the CrossFit Open Workouts at RX level and has been spending a lot of time focusing on her technique with her Olympic lifts. How long have you been at CrossFit Access? 3 months
What do you enjoy doing outside of CrossFit? Swimming and sunshine.
What is your favourite and least favourite movements or WODs? Favourite: Deadlifts and wall balls Least favourite: Snatches
What your biggest achievement so far? Handstand pushups, rope climbs and toes to bar
What are your future goals? To be able to do muscle ups and strict pull-ups

Who’s your box buddy? Lisa
Why did you start CrossFit? To push myself outside of my comfort zone and get back into a group training environment, and also to eventually compete again after so many years of swimming training and competing.
What do you love about CrossFit Access? The training environment! I love coming to CrossFit knowing that I'll be training alongside like-minded people who give nothing but support and encouragement. I also love that I am always looking forward to coming to training and being challenged.
Any advice for anyone just starting their CrossFit journey? The only thing you'll regret is not starting sooner!
