My CrossFit journey began after having my two darling sons. Overweight and unhappy, I stumbled across boxing and boxing-style fitness. After 2 years of hard work, my happiness came back while the weight started to come off. A friend and I used to watch the CrossFit class, after our boxing session from the sidelines and thought “Those guys are crazy! I could never do that weightlifting stuff” until one day, we bit the bullet and did a class! It was so scary, liberating, and fun all at once. As the weeks went by, I became more confident and more focused, and all of a sudden I was hooked! Shortly after that, I found CrossFit Access and it completely changed the game! 6 years later I’m still here and in the best shape of my life, physically and mentally. I found the love of my life here, lifelong friends, trained and currently training under the best coaches and invested not only my fitness goals into Access but also my future as Co-Owner. My family now extends beyond my household and includes 220+ members. Where just out here living our best lives keeping the Access Dream alive.
Life is a funny old thing, without a little rain, there is no rainbow. Change is hard! Commitment is hard! Letting go of self-doubt is hard! Blocking out the noise is hard! But once you start to see the fruits of your hard work pay off, whether it be in the gym, career, family life, or even on your mental health. The uncomfortable bits become a distant memory. Growth is a wonderful gift! Talk to your friends, talk to your coaches, and get comfortable with the uncomfortable! Have some goals, write them down, and crush them one by one!
I am Ren, proudly serving as the Co-owner and Member Success Manager at CrossFit Access. While I may not be a coach in the traditional sense, my role revolves around fostering a supportive and empowering environment for all our members. As an empathetic individual with a deep understanding of human connection, my purpose within the Access community goes far beyond locking you into membership. I am here to be the first point of contact, a guiding light for new members as they embark on their fitness journey.
